Privacy policy
The files you open in Pathside never leave your phone. The app does not request internet access, so it cannot send them anywhere. It collects no personal information, has no accounts and shows no ads.
The files you open
Pathside reads a file only when you hand it one — through “Open with”, a share, or the file picker — and only for as long as it is on screen. The file is read from where it already is; a working copy may be written to the app's private cache area on your device while the file is open, and it is deleted when you close it. Nothing is uploaded, because the app holds no internet permission at all: you can verify this in the app's permission list on Google Play or in Android's app info screen.
The app remembers a short list of recently opened files — the file name, its format, the number of artboards and the link Android gave it — so you can reopen them. That list is stored on the device and nowhere else. Clearing the app's storage, or uninstalling it, removes it.
What is collected
Pathside uses Google Firebase (Analytics and Crashlytics) to understand whether the app works, and Google Play Billing through RevenueCat for the one-time unlock. These collect:
- Usage events — that a file was opened and what format it was, that an export happened and to which format, that a screen was viewed, that a purchase completed. File names and file contents are never part of an event.
- Crash and performance data — the technical details of a crash, the device model, the Android version, and the app version.
- Device and installation identifiers used by those services to tell one installation from another. The Advertising ID is explicitly removed from this app.
- Purchase history for the one-time unlock, so the app knows whether it is unlocked and you can restore it on a new device.
This data is used to fix faults and understand which features are used. It is not sold, and it is not used for advertising.

- Google LLC — Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, and Google Play Billing (Firebase privacy, Google privacy policy).
- RevenueCat, Inc. — manages the purchase and the unlocked state (RevenueCat privacy policy).
- Cloudflare, Inc. — serves this website.
Children
Pathside is a tool for working with design files and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Your choices and rights
You can clear everything the app has stored from Android's Settings → Apps → Pathside → Storage → Clear storage, or by uninstalling it. To request deletion of analytics or purchase data held by the services above, or to ask what is held, email machadowg@gmail.com and say which app you are writing about; requests are answered within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the GDPR, the LGPD or the CCPA to access, correct, delete or export your data, and to complain to your data protection authority.
This website
This site runs no JavaScript — its content security policy forbids scripts entirely — and sets no cookies. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives the request and the IP address that made it, as any web request does.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and the previous versions remain in the public repository this site is built from.
